Passports scanner

The ScanShell® 1000A is an OCR passport scanner that is sold as a bundle together with idScan® OCR or ScanShell.net® OCR.

The ScanShell® 1000A is an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) unit and it is the ideal portable scanning solution. This flatbed passports scanner enables users to scan and inspect a wide variety of secured documents such as driver license, passports, ID cards and digital ‘watermarked’ items. The ScanShell® 1000A offers color (24 bit), gray scale (8 bit), black and white, and filter infrared spectrum inks scanning capability.

The scan area of the ScanShell® 1000A is 5in x 3in (12.7cm x 7.62cm) and the unit only weighs 567g (20oz) making this scanner a perfect solution in a variety of arenas such as hotels, bars and clubs and liquor stores. Its compact size and easy-to use features also enables the ScanShell® 1000A to be easily integrated into corporate and government security communities USA PATRIOT ACT compliance programs.

The ScanShell® 1000A passports scanner works with any standard USB port and therefore no external power adapter is required. The scanner also supports Windows Vista and Windows 7, 32 and 64 bits.
